Who we are
ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ ΓΥΝΑΙΚΩΝ ΑΡΧΑΓΓΕΛΟΥ ΑΡΤΕΜΙΣ is a non-profit women's association in Greece. In English we describe ourselves as the Artemis Association of Women of Archangelos — a descriptive translation for this website, not a separately registered name.
Our members are of every age and background. Some have lived in the area all their lives; others arrived more recently and found friends at our tables. What we share is a wish to keep our community close and to give women a real place in its life.
Our background
The association grew out of something simple: women who were already organising feast-day meals, summer gatherings and visits to older neighbours decided to do it together, with a shared structure and shared responsibility. Today that work continues through regular meetings and events across the year.

Our objectives
- Encourage the active participation of women in local social and cultural life.
- Preserve and pass on local traditions, recipes, crafts and celebrations.
- Organise gatherings that bring generations together.
- Offer informal learning and information meetings on topics members choose.
- Work alongside other local bodies on shared community causes.
Our commitment to the community
We do not promise more than we can give. We are volunteers, and our work is measured in evenings, recipes and conversations. We commit to doing that work honestly, openly and with care for everyone involved.
